Tip 10 of 10: Shoot, shoot, shoot every day to practice your skills and train your eye, plan your photography routes and ideas

It is very important that you train your eye and take photos regularly. Ideally, you have to shoot every day. You can do it on your way to school or work and on your way back home. Do not forget your camera when you travel. There is no progress without practice.

You can put your plans on the paper or in your daily calendar. For instance, today you may decide to concentrate on shadows, tomorrow on reflections, the day after tomorrow on finding similar colours of people and cars on the street, etc.

Think about interesting places in the city in advance that have interesting backgrounds or environment as such. Before going somewhere where you have never been before, you can previously look at the photos of this place to have interesting ideas in advance where and what to shoot.

Use Google Maps and “walk virtually through the streets”. It can help you also in finding the right spots for your photography. Write the addresses down on the paper, or mark the places on the printed map, or save these addresses in your smartphone.

So, I hope that these key basic tips will help you in your street photography endeavours.

Good luck!
